These Wintry Accidents Didn't Happen In February...

Truck drivers are no strangers to long days or weeks on the road, but seasons? Yup, those can feel quite prolonged, too.

While any time from November to February on the road can be treacherous, icy roads and whiteout conditions don’t care what month it is--they can still pop up sporadically all the way out to mid-late April.

These three clips show how volatile weather can still be, despite most of the country already  being knee-deep in Spring, not snowdrifts…

Dash cam captures stunning video of semi truck slamming into Wisconsin pileup

Wisconsin is no stranger to cold weather, even in mid-late Spring. This semi truck crashing into a Wisconsin pileup is brought to you by whiteout conditions, insufficient light, and everyone driving at unreasonable speeds despite all of that.

April snow brings major crashes to Northeast Ohio roads and highways

Ohio isn’t exactly known for its tropical climate, but in the Northeastern parts, the white stuff can flat out accumulate on any given April day. In this video, it seems the icy and slippery conditions caught a number of drivers by surprise and caused a chain reaction of crashes.

Snow-i-70 Shutdown For Hours-Wrong Way Drivers-People Walking on Interstate

No one expects warm Spring weather in Colorado in April anyway, and in this video, Colorado doesn’t disappoint. The snowy conditions on i-70 got so bad last week that people were stuck for hours and it seemed like some just gave up and decided to walk it out…

While this might be the last we’ll see of wintry conditions until late fall (even in the more northern locales), we still think that staying alert on the road and investing in things like heated cold-proof or waterproof camera systems, waterproof proximity alert, Driver fatigue systems, and collision avoidance systems are a good call any time of year.

After all, Mother Nature is finicky and you can never be too safe.
