Secondary school pupils across Scotland are being given an opportunity to take road safety into their own hands with a new interactive website launched by Road Safety Scotland.
The ‘Your Call’ website, aimed at S1-S3 pupils, offers a range of themed interactive activities relating to risk-taking, decision making, personal safety, pre-driver attitudes and peer pressure in the road environment.
It also features two films based on a pedestrian theme for the younger age group and a passenger theme for the older age group and shows the effect a road accident can have on young lives.

It may soon be possible to take the most epic road trip ever, from one continent to another. Vladimir Yakunin, Russian Railways president, says a superhighway connecting Alaska’s Western-most border to Russia’s Eastern-most border could soon become a reality.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — An advocacy group said Tuesday said while the mayor’s program to improve traffic safety is admirable, it will require a lot more effort – and a lot more money – to make the city’s roads truly safe.
At the rate the city is going, Transportation Alternatives figures it will take at least 100 years for all the city’s dangerous roads to be fixed, 1010 WINS’ Carol D’Auria reported.
