It's that time of year again! daylight saving time comes to an end on Nov, 5th, so it's time to "fall back." Here are some tips from the National Safety Council on driving at night.
- Aim your headlights correctly and make sure they’re clean.
- Dim your dashboard.
- Look away from oncoming lights.
- If you wear glasses, make sure they’re anti-reflective.
- Clean the windshield to eliminate streaks.
- Slow down to compensate for limited visibility and reduced stopping time.

"#Stoponred" is the theme of this years National School Bus Safety Week, October 16-20. The theme was chosen from the winner of a safety poster the year before.
The week is for parents, students, motorists, school administrators, school bus operators to discuss the importance of bus safety. School districts throughout the country and also Canada observe National School Bus Safety Week the third full week of October every year.

A California state law effective July 2018 will require drivers and passengers of commercial buses, such as Greyhound, to wear seat belts. The law includes a $20 fine for the first violation and a $50 fine for the next. Parents are held responsible for making sure children under 16 are buckled up. The companies of charter buses are also responsible for children using seat belts.

A new study by Consumer Reports states that hot cars can be a threat for children year round, not just during the summer months.
Testing showed that the temperature inside a car reaching more than 105° F in just an hour, even with a temperature outside of 61°F.
"Temperatures that might seem comfortable for adults can quickly become dangerous for children," said Orly Avitzur, M.D., medical director for Consumer Reports in a statement. "And elderly passengers who can't care for themselves, or those with cognitive problems, can also be at risk if they're left in a car on even a mild day."

According to an estimate from the National Safety Council, as many as 40,000 people died in motor vehicle crashes last year. This is a 6% rise from 2015. Not only does the 360+ Bird’s Eye View System assist with lane changing cameras, erase blind spots and assist with parking navigation on narrow roads (most other 360° systems only have these features), it is also equipped with optional two side cameras to help with lane changes and highway driving.
