Recording Memories
I’m so thankful that I grew up in a large family. All 3 of my older brothers now have families of their own and we are very spread out, (2 on the west coast, 2 on the east coast). My parents still live in the Midwest. I’m lucky. I live in the same Brooklyn neighborhood as one sibling. Growing up we traveled a lot. My brothers played soccer almost year round and we were always driving to Nebraska or Oklahoma for tournaments.
These tournaments were a great way to see a different part of the country and also spend quality time packed in the car with my family. Thinking back on it, I wish we had a dash camera. For A lot of reasons. Dash cameras have many different uses. They can be used in case of an accident as evidence in court, to dispute traffic tickets, or to protect against police brutality. They can also be used for another purpose. Recording road trips.
The memories of all of our soccer trips are still fresh in my mind 20 some years later, but I would love to see footage from those trips. My entire family, singing, laughing and telling jokes while heading to Lincoln or Tulsa.
