This July 4th feels different. Americans will be hitting the highways in droves, and who can blame them? After the pandemic, the shutdowns, and a year of limited travel, this year, Independence Day will feel just a bit more...free.
Likewise, the most dangerous weekend of the year will probably be even deadlier in 2021, as we celebrate our re-found freedom. A reopening nation, drinking, more vehicles on the roads, and distractions in the form of fireworks and cell phones make the conditions even more hazardous than usual.
