New AAA research suggests drowsy driving plays larger role in accidents than previously thought
I’ve written about my own personal experience with the dangers of drowsy driving before. It is a dangerous epidemic that cannot be ignored. After analyzing dashboard videos from 700 accidents, the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety found that 9.5% of all crashes involved drowsy driving, based on the portion of time the operators' eyes were closed in the minutes before a crash. This statistic grows to nearly 11% in severe crashes.
Driver Fatigue Systems
Rear View Safety offers both commercial and consumer grade driver fatigue systems to alter driver’s when they begin to show the first symptoms of drowsiness so they can stop the problem before it becomes dangerous.
Our professional driver fatigue monitoring system can be easily integrated to our 5520 MobileMule™. This makes is perfect for fleet management.
It's time to start doing something about this deadly problem.
