Find The Helpers: #ThankATrucker

In this uneasy time, I’m turning to the wisdom of Mr. Rodgers.

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.”

There are plenty of helpers combating the COVID-19 pandemic, including firefighters, paramedics, nurses, doctors, grocers, pharmacists, sanitation workers, postal workers, educators.

As well as truckers. Drivers’ Hours of Service (HOS) have been relaxed in certain situations and truck drivers are risking their health to move critical items across the country, to hospitals and stores.

They are being recognized. After an American Trucking Association (ATA) retweet and thank you from President Trump, the hashtag #ThankATrucker has gone viral, showcasing the important work that truckers are doing during the crisis.
