Is your car ready for Spring?

Kelly, my fiance, and I got rid of our cars shortly after we moved to New York. I really miss driving everyday. One of my brothers also lives in the city and we trade babysitting for occasionally using his car for groceries or for a weekend trip to the beach. It's a great trade. Recently he took a road trip with his family to Ohio. He took it into his local shop to get checked out before the trip. It's an old but reliable car, so he wanted to make sure everything was alright before the long drive. His car was fine, but he left the shop with peace of mind.

Car Repairs

It's always important to make sure your car is in working order, but it's especially important before any family road trips. It's also a good time to see if anything in your car has been recalled. You can also subscribe to a recall information e-mail list.

It is recommended that a car be serviced every year or around 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. However, if you drive a lot or have an older vehicle, I recommend checking it out more frequently. It’s important to regularly check the fluids in your car and take it in immediately if something strange happens.

On The Road Again

I recently gifted my brother a RVS-400C Compact HD Dash Camera. When he gets back I can't wait to see all the awesome footage from his family road trip. It was a nice family experience helping he and his son install the camera and explaining all of the great features.
