  1. great product. very well made. Review by jeepvin

I bought to put on the back of my F250 to make hooking up the toy hauler easier. Second camera will be for the back of the toy hauler so I can see what's behind me on the freeway and backing into spots. Taking the items out of the box I was impressed with the build quality. Screen didn't feel cheap and cameras are housed in metal. Cables seem high quality and so does the connections. I bench tested the unit and looks great! Audio is an added bonus. Won't be installing in my truck till this spring though. The screen is large which is awesome but at the same time hinders your mounting options. Luckily the included mount gives many mounting options, it's highly adjustable. The camera for the back of the truck will be alittle tricky to mount and make look good. Also didn't want it In plane sight as people might mess with it. Figured out I can mount it behind the license plate, lots of room behind it and the camera will be completely hidden, will neet to get a flip up license plate bracket.
Very happy with my purchase and can't wait to use it. Anyone who tows a camper or trailer should have one of these. (Posted on 11/13/14)

  2. 2 Camera system for truck & trailer works perfectly and allows 1 person backing. Review by Jeff

This system is exactly what it is advertised to be. High quality, solid and reliable it is perfect for the intended use. I can back my truck to the trailer tongue an dine it up perfectly without help. I can also see where my trailer is going without someone to guide me. This system solves a huge safety issue for me. when not trailering it is a superb back0-up camera for my 2001 F150 Super Crew. I love it. Very happy with my purchase. Not the cheapest around but well worth the investment . I highly recommend this company's cameras and monitors. (Posted on 9/8/14)

  6. Quality Cameras! Review by Rob63

The cameras, monitor and provided cables are all very good quality and work flawlessly. I'm very happy that I went with Rear View Safety rather than the other camera systems I looked at. Installation was easy! Now I can see to hitch up my RV and see what's behind me while traveling down the highway. (Posted on 5/4/14)

  7. Best I have found Review by Michael

I researched and counted a lot on customer feedback, and made the decision to purchase this system. Much better than a pervious system which only lasted 4 months. The hook up of the system is very simple and direction are easy to follow. the picture quality is outstanding. I have one camera on the rear of my truck and the other one atop of my 28 foot trailer. The rear trailer camera is perfect when the truck is off however when running there are lines that flow from the bottom to the top on the monitor. Not the end of the world just kind of distracting. The only improvement opportunity I would suggest at this point is that the cables are super long. This is great if you need it, but not so much when there is about 15 feet extra. Love the quick discount option with this system. (Posted on 4/24/14)

  8. Great product! Review by Gatorfan

  9. Good investment! Review by Bob Crifasi

I researched the cameras and monitors and learned quite a lot. I was looking for a backup camera for my van to make hooking up to my West Wight Potter on the boat trailer less of a chore. I also needed a camera that would act as a backup camera and rear view for my travel trailer. This seems to cover it all including a very professional cabling system. I have hooked up all the electronics on the bench and tried it out. Impressive! I will write an update once I install the equipment on the van and trailer. (Posted on 2/24/14)

Questions on Rear View Camera System | Two (2) Camera Setup With Trailer Tow Quick Connect/Disconnect Kit

  • From Christina Workman at 7/13/14 10:44 AM
    • How long is the wire to hook up the camera.
    • The wiring for this system works as follows:
For the camera designed to go on the back of the trailer, the cabling runs 66' to the front of the trailer where it connects to the pigtail cable that runs between the vehicles. It then runs 26' from the back of the truck to the front where it connects to the power harness.
For the camera designed to go on the back of the truck, the cabling that comes for it is 66' long.

    • Does each camera have to be provided with 12vdc vehicle power, or is there only one power connection for the entire system? I'm a little confused because with some of your multi-camera systems, there is a separate box into which all the cameras and monitor connect and that box is then connected to vehicle power.
    • Each of our wired systems have just one power source for the entire system. The system is powered from the fuse box with either a multiplexer or in this case a power harness. This connects to power and then all cameras and the monitor connect to it and draw power from it.

    • Does this system have an SD card for storage and instant playback
    • This system is just for viewing a live feed from the cameras, not for recording. For recording options see our DVR section under Our Products>Dash Cameras/DVR.
    • Do you find this question helpful?  Yes   No
  • From Walt at 10/30/14 10:35 AM
    • Can the system be on all the time while driving or is it designed to be only used for backing up?
    • The system can be on all the time. You'll have the option to connect the cameras to ignition power which will allow them to be on the whole time, or to backup power where they'll come on only while in reverse.
