RearViewSafety.com: Customer Installation for Your Backup Camera System

Once you’ve found the rear view safety system for you and your commercial vehicle, we recommend that you contact your local professional auto accessories custom shop. Professional installation will guarantee that your backup camera system works properly. Prices vary, but installation for your rear view safety system will generally cost between $150 and $200. However, you can save money and install your new rearview camera yourself! Many people have the know-how and expertise to perform their own car camera customer installation. RearviewSafety.com customers have successfully completed car camera installation on hummers, gas trucks, coach buses, forklifts, other industrial equipment and more.

Vehicle Camera Installation

In order to install your rear view camera, you’ll need a power drill and a few other tools mount the camera and some know-how about your vehicle. In some cases, the camera is mounted at the top edge of the roof for a bird’s-eye-view, but you can also use the plastic bumper cover to avoid drilling into the car’s sheet metal. Disconnect your car’s battery, then drill a hole large enough to fit the camera. Insert the camera and its rubber grommet tightly into the hole. Attach the camera’s power wire to your car’s rear back-up lights by splicing the wires. Route the camera’s output wire to the monitor’s input and mount the monitor in the desired location inside your vehicle. Reattach the battery, and your camera backup camera system should be ready for action! You can find more information on rear view camera installation on our FAQs page. We value our customers’ feedback and satisfaction with their vehicle camera installation! After you install your backup camera system successfully, send pictures of your installation! Please send an email with your pictures to pictures@rearviewsafety.com, or call us at 800-764-1028 our Operators are standing by.
